I know I am not the only one who felt that I was lending out $25 to an individual who is starting up a small business in an area of the world needed a little extra help to improve their families life via Kiva.org. My sister-in-law emailed me this article here from the NY Times and it seems that this is not the case. I do feel disappointed, taken advantage of and thinking this was such a great idea being directly involved with a person seems to be a pipe dream. Does it make Kiva.org deceiving to the public? You be the judge.
