Uncle Ben's Whole Grain Brown Rice

Last week my daughter went for her 3 year old checkup at her Doctor and in preparing her for her visit I asked her to think of a question she wanted to ask.  Watching her face, she was definitely mulling it over on the right question.  She came up with "How can you run faster and jump higher?".  That was a great question and I knew what the answer would be.  During the visit, her Doctor asked several her questions, one being what her favorite food was.  The answer has been the same for over a year now, Salmon and brown rice!  I think the Doctor was a little taken back with her answer as it was not grilled cheese or hot dogs.  When it came to answering my daughter's question, it was "By continuing to eat the good foods you are eating, playing outside and a good night sleep!"  That was all she needed to hear.

I love brown rice and rarely serve white rice anymore.  Uncle Ben's has developed a few types of whole grain brown rice depending on cook time and meal being prepared.  There is the Natural Whole Grain Brown Rice with a cook time of 40 minutes, Fast & Natural Brown Rice and Boil-in-Bag Whole Grain Brown Rice which both ready within 10 minutes!  Serving whole grain brown rice has many health benefits like iron, fiber and just 1 cup of whole grain brown rice meets daily grain requirements.

Here is my daughter's favorite meal of Salmon and brown rice, with a salad on the side I can feel content I am giving her a healthy meal to give her the ability to run faster and jump higher.

Uncle Ben's has also developed some recipes you can try this Summer, adding a new twist on the use of brown rice such as Tex Mex Rice and Shrimp, Corn and Lime;Chicken, Apple and Walnut Brown Rice Salad and one of my favorites is Whole Grain Chicken Curry in a hurry which I added shrimp to.  Thanks to Uncle Ben's, I can now make a choice of which brown rice to use depending on my time available and meal preparation.
I wrote this review while participating in a blog campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Uncle Ben's and received samples to facilitate my candid review.  Mom Central sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.
