Since we were a part of the heat wave of the south, we took a day and went to Waveland on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. My daughter was itching to go to a beach. When we went here about two years ago, there was still little rebuilding from Katrina, it looked like a lot of open space where there use to be back to back cottages, what you would expect to see along a shoreline. Going back here I was surprised to see it still was the same! Very little development, only a few big homes right on the water. No tar balls here to report.
